19th century predecessor to the Martini and the Manhattan. Traditionally made with Old Tom gin.
• 2 oz Gin
• 3/4 oz Sweet vermouth
• 1⁄4 oz maraschino liqueur
• 2 dashes Angostura bitters
• Garnish: Lemon twist
1) Add gin, vermouth, maraschino liqueur, and bitters to a shaker tin with ice and stir until chilled.
2) Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
3) Garnish with a lemon twist.
